It was reported recently that Michigan football assistant coach Mike Hart was on leave from the program. But on Friday, according to multiple reports, the legendary Michigan Wolverines running back won't be back on the coaching staff this season.

Running backs coach was the last piece of drama surrounding the first coaching staff of Sherrone Moore. The entire defensive staff was announced by Michigan football on Friday. Shortly after, Hart's departure was reported which means Moore has one opening to fill.

Yet, the answer is already on staff in the recruiting department: Denard Robinson.

Denard Robinson would be a perfect RB coach for Michigan football

Shoelace, just like Mike Hart, is one of the all-time leaders in rushing yards for Michigan football and was the best dual-threat quarterback in school history. I have no qualms saying that. We have never seen another Denard Robinson.

Robinson didn't play quarterback in the NFL though. He was a running back and had a four year career in the league. He also spent three seasons as an analyst for the Jaguars before becoming the assistant director of player personnel in Ann Arbor.

With his NFL background, the success he's had recruiting, and the fact that he loves Michigan football, it seems like a no-brainer. Losing Hart is a blow. There's no queston about it. He was a great leader, a solid recruiter, and a great developer of talent. He was also the run-game coordinator.

But Robinson feels like the ideal choice and it would take a negative situation and turn it into a positive for the Wolverines.
