Sherrone Moore continues to work to bolster the Michigan football recruiting department and made two more additions that were reported on Wednesday, first by Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports.

First, Michigan football has hired former player, Jack Dunaway, as an assistant director of recruiting. Dunaway spent three seasons with the Wolverines from 2016-18 as a preferred walk-on. He also served under Jim Harbaugh and a coaching intern and graduate assistant.

Dunaway hasn't worked in a recruiting job before. Yet, he's got strong ties to Detroit and that should make him an asset for in-state recruit. He's also a former player, which should help him connect with younger prospects and this feels like another solid move by Sherrone Moore.

John Collins is also being hired away from Georgia to serve in the same as an assistant director of recruiting. Collins was a recruiting analyst for Georgia the past two seasons. He served in a similar role for Temple prior to that as well as serving as an intern for the Steelers during a training camp.

Collins might be short on experience, but adding anyone from Georgia's staff is going to be a good move. Kirby Smart runs an incredible program and the Wolverines desperately needed to bolster their recruiting operation which Moore has done by adding Sean Magree and others.

EJ Holland of The Wolverine had this breakdown of some of the changes Michigan football has undertaken:

"Michigan’s recruiting department continues to experience some shuffling. Former Director of Recruiting, Albert Karschnia, is now the Director of Player Personnel, while Sam Popper, who previously served as Assistant Director of Recruiting, is expected to slide into Karschnia’s former role. Michigan recently hired a new Director of On-Campus Recruiting in Kayli Johnson. She replaces former Michigan Director of On-Campus Recruiting Christina DeRuyter, who will remain with the program in an operations role. Paige Shiver, who worked under DeRuyter as an on-campus recruiting and operations assistant, is now the Executive Assistant to the Head Coach."

Moore said he was going to be "aggressive" on the recruiting trail and building a truly modern operation is the first step in getting the Wolverines where they need to be.
