NCAA report is coming, but 'hammer' isn't dropping on Michigan football

There might be something coming from the NCAA about Michigan football and its alleged sign-stealing but the "hammer" isn't dropping.

Many Ohio State fans have been waiting with bated breath for the NCAA to release its notice of allegations regarding the alleged Michigan football sign-stealing operation and according to Isaiah Hole of The Locked On Wolverines Podcast, that will come "sooner rather than later."

Hole, who is the publisher of Wolverines Wire, cites a source within Schembechler Hall that states that the notice of allegations from the NCAA could come "within the next couple of weeks."

Hole also said that he heard "second hand" from a source that in terms of the Connor Stalions scandal, there was "much ado about nothing."

Chris Balas of The Wolverine reported something similar earlier this week for The Wolverine. Michigan football is expected to get a notice of allegations but Balas reported that there is no "smoking gun" connecting Stalions to the coaching staff in any way.

Michigan football has always maintained that Stalions was essentially a lone wolf and that's never been disproven. Heck, the NCAA investigated Jim Harbaugh's phones and computers. If there was something, they would have found it.

Hole goes as far to say that when Michigan football fans see the actual allegation against Connor Stalions, that they will "laugh."

I have been laughing at this entire thing from the beginning. From the crying of Ryan Day and James Franklin to the ridiculous statements about player safety, this has been the most overblown scandal in sports history.

It was a hit job to smear Michigan football and it worked. However, it didn't impact the national championship or any of the Wolverines' wins over Ohio State. The NCAA President said as much and I can't wait for these allegations to come out so we can finally move on.

At least Michigan fans can.
