The first part of July wasn't kind to the Michigan Wolverines on the recruiting trail as there were a number of misses on top targets.

Yet, that's how recruiting works. You hit on some and you miss on others. It hurt to miss on four-star targets such as Hardy Watts (OL), Maxwell Roy (DL) or Marco Jones (EDGE). Four-star safety JaDon Blair also committed to Notre Dame this past weekend over Michigan football.

Yet, the Michigan Wolverines should get some good news on Monday. Four-star tight end Andrew Olesh is announcing his commitment at 6:00 PM EST and all signs point to him committing to Michigan football.

All of the expert projections are in favor of the Michigan Wolverines. Plus, Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore teased a commitment with a post on X on Sunday.

Olesh is 6-foot-5, 212 pounds, and is ranked No. 121 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. The tight end from Pennslyvania is also ranked fourth at his position.

Michigan football trending for a flip

While missing on Blair was a bummer, adding a fifth defensive back to the 2025 class for Notre Dame might make it easier for the Wolverines to flip elite safety Ivan Taylor.

Taylor is ranked 50th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He's visited Michigan football twice this spring and is ranked fifth among safeties. Steve Wiltfong and EJ Holland of On3 have projected a flip along with Tom Loy of 247 Sports.

It feels like it could happen at anytime and if it does, Taylor would be the third top-100 commitment so far in the 2025 class for the Michigan Wolverines. Stay tuned.
