Friday was a busy day for the Michigan basketball team as the Wolverines new head coach, Dusty May, landed not just one, but two commitments.

The first came from Justin Pippen, the son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen. He's a 2024 recruit and has tons of potential for the future. Soon after, the Michigan Wolverines secured the second commitment of the day from Rubin Jones, a 6-foot-5 guard/wing from North Texas.

Jones is a likely starter for Michigan basketball next season. Pippen is a guy who could eventually turn into a mutli-year stater and it was a promising start for the new head coach.

Another head coach, Sherrone Moore will lead Michigan football into the spring game for the first time. Like Jim Harbaugh, he'll be in more of a commissioner role today with Kirk Campbell and Wink Martindale leading the Maize and Blue squads.

Speaking of, Michigan football released the rosters for the spring game on Friday night. Wink is coaching the Blue team and some of the notable players for Michigan football on that squad are Donovan Edwards, Alex Orji, Jadyn Davis, Mason Graham, Jaishawn Barham, Zeke Berry, Brandyn Hillman, Tyler Morris, and a lot more.

As far as the Maize team, Davis Warren, Jayden Denegal, and Jack Tuttle are on that roster. You also have Colston Loveland, Will Johnson, Kenneth Grant, Semaj Morgan, T.J. Guy, Enow Etta, Kalel Mullings, Cole Cabana, Ernest Hausmann, Jyaire Hill and many more.

The coaching staff did a good job of dividing up talent. Michigan football will hold its annual spring game at 12 PM EST on Fox. Joel Klatt will be on the broadcast, along with Charles Woodson and Jake Butt.

According to Clayton Safie of The Wolverine.com, Michigan football is dealing with some injuries. Myles Hinton, Giovanni El-Hadi, Cole Cabana, and Jack Tuttle are just a few of the guys dealing with something. So expect some players to be limited.
