Michigan football fans would like a few more recruiting wins to celebrate and honestly, it feels like those days are coming soon.

The Michigan Wolverines are making progress with a bunch of elite recruits. They have double-digit top-100 recruits coming to visit in the next month according to the On3 Industry rankings. But something else that should get Michigan football fans excited is the play of four-star quarterback commitment Carter Smith.

Smith wasn't invited to the Elite 11 but the Michigan football commitment said he probably wouldn't have accepted anyway according to EJ Holland of The Wolverine. He's been focused on improvement this offseason and it's worked so far.

Smith has improved as a passer but in a Friday night spring game, the future Michigan football quarterback showed what a dangerous dual-threat he can be in a two-game jamboree. In one game, he had seven rushes for 100 yards and three scores. He also had seven rushing touchdowns total.

I'm a huge fan of Carter Smith and Jadyn Davis. The Wolverines have a bright future at quarteback and what I love about Smith, is that he's a dual-threat dude which will be perfect for the Michigan football offense.
