Michigan football 'working hard' on new deals for Sherrone Moore, Jesse Minter
Even as Jim Harbaugh takes his time interviewing with NFL teams and making a decision on whether he will remain as Michigan football head coach, the Wolverines aren't resting on their laurels.
There's not much that can be done until Jim Harbaugh makes is final decision, because there will be so many domino effects. However, it seems like whatever happens with Harbaugh, Sherrone Moore is going to be back with Michigan football in 2024.
It could be as the head coach. All the reports have said the same thing, but I don't even know if you need those to realize that Moore is going to be the next head coach of Michigan football if Harbaugh leaves for the NFL. It's not going to be Brian Kelly. There aren't many other candidates and if they want to keep building on the championship culture established by Harbaugh, Moore is the best candidate.
Urban Meyer handed things over to Ryan Day and while we all laugh at his losses to Michigan, Day did lead the Buckeyes to a national title game and a couple of Big Ten championships. I'd take that from Sherrone Moore in a few years time and heck, he's already proven he can beat the Buckeyes.

Regardless, Moore as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach has been a critical part of building Michigan football into a national champion. The same can be said about defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, who is going to be in demand among NFL teams this offseason.
According to Josh Henschke of Rivals, Michigan football is working to lock up both to long-term deals. If Harbaugh returns, along with Moore and Minter, that's the dream scenario. It feels far-fetched that all three would be back, but you never know and at the very least, I can say with confidence that Jim Harbaugh or Sherrone Moore will be the Michigan football head coach in 2024.
