Michigan football star is confirmed in EA Sports College Football 25
College football fans everywhere have been clamoring for the new college football game slated to be released this summer by EA Sports.
It's been over a decade since the EA Sports college football game was produced and back in the day, former Michigan football quarterback Denard Robinson graced the cover. You wonder if a player from last season's national championship team could be on the cover such as J.J. McCarthy.
We won't know that for a few more months to be sure. But we do know that EA Sports College Football will include all 134 FBS teams which includes Michigan football.
Players are able to opt into the game starting on Thursday and Michigan football fans will be excited about one of the confirmed players in the game -- five-star cornerback Will Johnson.
Hayes Fawcett of On3.com reported a list of confirmed players for the game and Johnson is the first Michigan Wolverine to be confirmed. The defensive MVP of the national championship game is certainly the most high-profile U-M player set to return along with running back Donovan Edwards, defensive tackles Kenneth Grant and Mason Graham, plus tight end Colston Loveland.
All of those players have the potential to be early-round draft picks. Johnson would be a first-rounder in 2024 if he was eligible. Grant and Graham probably would be too.
Johnson made some headlines earlier this week after a text message he sent his father shot down rumors of Will transferring to Alabama. Johnson, told his dad, (via On3.com) that's "all Cap."
That means Johnson is calling the rumor a lie and I fully expect Johnson to be on the field for Michigan football in real life, as well as EA Sports College Football 25 since he's also agreed to a side NIL deal with EA Sports to promote the game.
