Top 100 S Kainoa Winston (DC)

This one is a bit more complex, but is a possibility. Winston visited Michigan football the first weekend of June and is coming off of his Penn State visit. There are rumors that he may skip his final two official visits and decide between the Wolverines and Nittany Lions

This one is very widely considered a Penn State vs Michigan battle. It was believed that Michigan held a lead following Winston's visit to Ann Arbor, and there hasn't been a lot of talk or enthusiasm about his Penn State visit. I wouldn't be surprised if Winston commits to the Wolverines.

Michigan and Penn State are very similar in terms of NIL. Neither is handing bags to recruits. That offers Michigan a rare opportunity for a relatively even playing field for a top 100 recruit. Michigan is definitely the superior program, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Wolverines win this one.

We are finally seeing some much needed momentum on the recruiting trail. Whether or not one of these kids is the next commit for Michigan, the Wolverines are making great progress after a very slow start. While NIL still needs to be addressed in a big way for the Wolverines to win more of these competitive battles, they are doing well with what they have.
