Michigan Football Recruiting: Previewing Commitment of Top 100 WR
Elite top 100 Texas wide receiver Andrew Marsh is set to announce his commitment on Tuesday the 20th at 5pm (likely central time). The finalists for Marsh are Colorado, Washington, USC, Texas, and Michigan football. That's an elite final five.
Of the five schools, Michigan football is the heavy favorite, holding every prediction for the elite wideout. Honestly, with just a few days to go until his commitment, it would be a shock if Michigan was not the pick. While we have not received any confirmation in the form of a Sherrone Moore tweet yet, everything is setting up nicely for the Wolverines.
USC is having issues holding onto its elite quarterback recruit, Washington is expected to decline slightly, Texas is projected to land a second five star receiver and Colorado - well they're just not near Michigan's level. The cards appear to be stacked in Michigan's favor in this recruitment.
Andrew Marsh would be a huge recruiting win for Michigan football
Marsh would be a tremendous win for the Wolverines, who are in dire need of elite recruits at the wide receiver position. With the extra offensive firepower joining the Big Ten in the form of Oregon, USC, Washington, and UCLA, Michigan is going to need to be able to put up points on offense. A dynamic passing game is going to be paramount to continued success in the Big Ten. Marsh would raise the ceiling of the Michigan football offense.
Sherrone Moore is doing a tremendous job with the 2025 recruiting class. Despite a late start, the Wolverines have four top 100 commits, hopefully five after Marsh announces his commitment. Michigan hasn't had that kind of success on the trail in years, and we've still got plenty of time to add onto that number.
All in all, things are looking good for Michigan in the recruitment of Andrew Marsh. Let's hope for some good news on Tuesday. Go Blue.
