Junior Colson. . Round 1. Pick 20. Junior Colson. . 20. player. 55. Michigan mock draft

Junior Colson is one of the top-rated linebackers in the 2024 Draft. He is quick and is a ball hawk being able to read where the ball is before blockers get to him. He is six-foot-three and 247 pounds, so he has good size and strength to get through blocks.

The Pittsburgh Steelers dealt with injury after injury in the linebacker core last season and could use some young blood. Colson could be what this Steeler team needs to continue to beef up what is already a strong defense, especially up front.

Colson's ability to get to the backfield quickly and disrupt a quarterback could also help with so many blockers on TJ Watt so frequently. Sometimes he can be a little overaggressive and overrun plays, but that is very coachable. He also needs to work on fully wrapping up on tackles, but again these are things that can be coached.
