Michigan football recently landed a commitment from a blue-chip safety and if things work out, the Wolverines could be landing another in a few weeks.

The Wolverines had another host of recruits on campus last weekend for official visits and one of them was top-200 safety JaDon Blair who is ranked No. 158 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2025 class.

Out of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Michigan football has been competing with Notre Dame, Penn State, Louisville, and Florida State for his commitment. However, after his visit, Blair came away impressed with the Wolverines, especially their player development according to The Wolverine.

"It was a refresher of why me and my family are so high on Michigan. We went into more detail in the nutrition and weightlifting program and why their athletes are so superior. We got to see some nubers and some date of the players and it showed why they won a national championship."

Penn State is getting the final official visit this weekend but Blair also taken official visits to Notre Dame, Florida State, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina, as well as Michigan. The Irish are the favorite according to the On3 prediction machine thanks to a prediction from Steve Wiltfong.

This visit was just the second for the Wolverines in terms of hosting Blair. Penn State and Notre Dame have hosted him six and five times respectively. A commitment announcement is expected to come next month (July 5th) so this final visit will be key.

I wouldn't say the Wolverines did enough to overcome Notre Dame but they at least kept themselves in the mix with a few weeks to go before a decision.
