Michigan football has never played these FBS teams and the number will surprise you
Michigan football vs. Mountain West Conference
There a total of seven teams who have not faced Michigan in football, but that number will be cut to six this season when the Wolverines face Fresno State in Week 1.
Boise State Broncos: Boise State started playing football in 1933 and became apart of the FBS in 1996. They are still relatively young in the FBS and there is a possibly these two teams could meet int he future with how successful the Broncos have been in recent years.
San Jose State Spartans: The Spartans have been playing football since 1893, but joined the FBS in 1950. Based on proximity, a matchup between these two teams in unlikely.
Wyoming Cowboys: The Cowboys joined the FBS in 1905 after starting thier football program in 1893. Like most of the teams in this conference, proximity makes this matchup unlikely anytime soon.
Utah State Aggies: The Aggies started a football program in 1892 and joined the FBS in 1912. The Aggies would need to boost their resume to get the Wolverines on their schedule.
New Mexico Lobos: It would odd to see New Mexico on Michigan's schedule due to proximity and a weak resume.
Nevada Wolf Pack: Same as above.
