Michigan football expected to land Michigan State legacy recruit

It's always fun beating out Michigan State for a recruit, but this time, Michigan football is going to win without Sparty being a threat.

When Michigan football fans can troll two rival fanbases with one commitment, you can't beat that and that's what the Wolverines will get to do if they land three-star offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn.

Strayhorn is ranked No. 464 overall according to the On3 Industry rankings and as it stands right now, Michigan football is the favorite to land his commitment. The On3 prediction machine gives Michigan a 66-percent chance to land his commitment, followed by MSU at 26 percent.

The Spartans should have a solid shot in this recruitment. After all, Kayden Strayhorn is the son of Jayson Strayhorn, a former Michigan State football player. He's also a radio broadcaster for the Spartans.

However, Michigan State hasn't been able to gain any traction in the recruitment of Kaden Strayhorn who is also reportedly considering Ohio State and LSU in addition to Michigan. The Wolverines view the 6-foot-3, 285-pound offensive lineman as a center. He's from the state of Michigan but is currently playing for the IMG Academy.

When Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore tweeted out the eyeball emojis on Saturday, teasing what looks like three different commitments to the Wolverines, you got the feeling that Strayhorn was one of them.

The offensive line prospect has a strong relationship with Moore according to EJ Holland of The Wolverine, who used to be the offensive line coach. Moore is an elite recruiter and U-M zeroed in on Strayhorn as their center for this class and frankly, I wouldn't be shocked if a commitment to the Wolverines came as early as this weekend.
