The hottest ticket in college football is in Ann Arbor this week as Michigan football will host the first top-10 matchup in Michigan stadium in 30 years. Texas enters the Big House confidently as the favorite. The last time they met was 20 years ago on January 1st, 2005 when the Longhorns won it as the clock expired in an instant Rose Bowl classic. This one has all the makings of another all-timer.

Here are three things I want to see from Michigan football against a towering Texas team.

1. More explosive plays on offense

Fresno State's defense did a tremendous job, given the circumstances by holding Michigan's offense in tact when it came to these type of plays. Davis Warren was intercepted on one of his only deep shots in the contest and Kalel Mullings, or any back, didn't break off a run for more than 20 yards until the fourth quarter. You just can't go 60 minutes with Texas without big plays and expect to win.

Kirk Campbell will have to go deep into the playbook and pull out some plays they we didn't see in week one. The running game should be able to move the ball forward as Justin Marshall of Colorado State ran for 106 yards himself a week ago. The Rams didn't have any plays over 15 yards on offense though.

If Michigan football can control the clock in the ground game with consistent runs, then they will have a great shot at getting win number 1,006. That can open things up for Warren to attack a suspect secondary who only allowed 74 yards through the air in week one.
