3. Michigan football defense disrupted Miller Moss

In the first half Michigan's offensive and defensive lines were winning at the point of attack. They were hurting Miller Moss and gained the lead because of the two long runs for scores. USC had negative four yards rushing in the first and three points to show for it. Moss finished the day with negative 27 yards by himself in the loss.

For Moss, it was his worst performance statistically speaking. His quarterback rating and completion percentage were the lowest of his starting career. USC's offensive line has some protection issues to attend to in the future.

Moss was sacked four times which resulted in all those negative yards. Josiah Stewart got to him twice and Mason Graham played his finest game of the year so far. Woody Marks had one run for 65 yards, but besides that USC's rush offense was silent. Zachariah Branch had 100 yards on six grabs and Michigan's special teams did a wonderful job not letting him bust one on any of his returns.
