Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from an offensive loss to Washington

1. There's still a quarterback dilemma
So Alex Orji started the game on Saturday night. He didn't finish it though. The coaches knew he wasn't moving the ball and were already behind the eight ball so they went to Jack Tuttle for his first action of 2024. Tuttle abruptly led two scoring drives and got Michigan within four by the time the clock stuck zero at halftime.
He moved Michigan into the lead by the time the fourth quarter rolled around, but his turnovers were too much to overcome. The Wolverines set up Washington in prime position and the defense faltered. You can make an argument that Michigan had their chances to get back in it, but the referees were not in their back pocket this time.
Now the Wolverines have two weeks to figure out who is going to be their signal caller moving forward. Each have their turnover problems and the coaches have no plan to play Jadyn Davis, no matter how much the fans scream for his presence. Things could get much worse with the way the schedule heats up this month.
