2. The Secondary minus Rod Moore

With Rod Moore out for the long haul there's a spot open for a newcomer to grab. Quentin Johnson and Makari Paige appear to be locked in at the safety positions because of that. Ja'Den McBurrows looks like he'll get a shot at being the corner opposite Johnson or to fill Mikey Sainristil's vacated spot at nickel.

Names like DJ Waller and Jyaire Hill have been mentioned along with Zeke Berry as guys who have been stepping up in the spring. It's hard to believe that we'll see much of anything from the starters because the coaching staff doesn't want them to end up like Moore did, but the three above should get ample time much like Amarion Walker did a year ago before transferring out.

Here's where missing the presence of Keon Sabb really hurts. He would have been a perfect replacement for Moore or even Sainristil. Reports have said that the Wolverines are not done searching for contributors in the secondary either.

There likely won't be anyone like Rod Moore available, but someone who is being slept on by other schools. Running a 4-2-5 defense means more bodies on the back end. Upton Stout's teammate at WKU, Anthony Johnson just threw his name in the portal too.
