Michigan Football: 3 overreactions to the Washington loss

Michigan's west coast regular season road curse continues. They haven't won a game over there outside of the Rose Bowl in decades.

2. Washington's win avenges the National Championship loss

It's hard to put this one in context because of all the differences, compared to last January. The Huskies got their most notable win of 2024, but to say that it is bigger then a National Championship victory is asinine. By no means is Noah Eagle bad at his job, but he said something that was a bit over the top. That makes this an overreaction with no foundation to stand on.

A regular season win like this won't be remembered forever like a National Championship will. The field storm was a little much, but beating a top-10 team at home, for a first year coach, usually confirms the occasion to do so. The next meeting between the two will be in Ann Arbor in 2025, one that Michigan football will certainly have circled.

This tweet above by Dave Biddle is also an overreaction, but what else would anyone expect from Ohio State slappy? Michigan's losses have fueled the flames of hate for the haters of the program. Last January was their worst nightmare come true and now they are reveling in Michigan's misfortunes. After all that is the bitterness of a rivalry and the hate that Michigan produces.
