Michigan football is becoming a contender for one of the top safeties in the 2025 recruiting class as four-star Jordan Young is expected to be on campus Monday to visit the Wolverines.

Young is a 6-foot, 184-pound safety from Monroe, North Carolina. According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, he's ranked 46th overall and is 4th at his position.

Young does have two crystal ball projections to Clemson right now, so the Tigers might be viewed as the favorite. However, new Michigan football secondary coach Lamar Morgan is getting the Wolverines back in the mix. Young was expected this weekend but is now coming on Monday.

Clemson, Tennessee, and Florida are all have official visits scheduled. South Carolina and Alabama also got Young on campus this spring, so they are also threats in his recruitment. For Michigan football, the objective is getting themselves into the mix and getting one of those official visits.

The Tigers have hosted Clemson two times already this calendar year and they are expected to have him on campus at the end of May.

Michigan football is right in the thick of it with JaDon Blair who is also out of North Carolina. He's ranked 150th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Steve Wiltfong of On3.com also said recently that the Wolverines are in a "great spot" for Blair. They haven't gotten any expert projections though.

There's no need to get overly optimistic with Young either. But if Michigan football gets him back on campus after Monday for an official visit. Then the Wolverines will be in business.
