It is intriguing to put Michigan higher, but there are a lot of unknowns going forward for Michigan that won't be answered till the season comes around. New head coach Sherrone Moore showed he could win games during Jim Harbaugh's suspension in 2023, but can he do it throughout an entire season?

The wolverines lost so many players to the draft and then even more to the transfer portal, including seven in the spring window. they brought in just one player in April, which doesn't bost a lot of confidence for Wolverine fans.

However, Moore was able to keep several recruits brought in by Harbaugh which should help tremendously, which is why the Wolverines are still in the top five of these power rankings.
