It looks like Michigan football could be notching a couple of recruiting wins over Clemson in the near future.

First, the Wolverines turned the tide with four-star quarterback Brady Hart of the 2026 class. He visited Michigan football last weekend, fresh off a visit to Clemson and a crystal ball projection for the Tigers.

But Michigan football took control of the recruitment over the weekend. Kirk Campbell landed a 2025 quarterback -- Carter Smith -- out of the state of Florida and is poised to do it again in 2026 with Brady Hart from Cocoa, Florida.

Good news with Hardy Watts too

However, that's not the only recruitment trending away from the Tigers. Hardy Watts is a 6-foot-6 290-pound offensive line target ranked No. 217 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Watts will take an official visit to Michigan football this weekend and according to Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider, the Wolverines are in a good spot to land his commitment. Lorenz wrote on Monday that he would be placing a crystal ball prediction for Michigan to do just that.

Lorenz hasn't logged the crystal ball yet, but that's a great sign for the Wolverines going into Victors Weekend. Watts is listed as an interior offensive lineman but has also played right tackle. He's out of Brookline, Massachusetts, and just released a top three that includes Michigan football, Clemson, and Wisconsin, another program he visited officially.

Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee all offered Watts during the spring. So he's a stellar prospect and his commitment wold be another massive addition to the offensive line. Literally and figuratively.
