A bunch of key Michigan football players show support for Sherrone Moore
One of the biggest questions facing Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore is whether or not he can retain most of the players currently on the Wolverines roster.
There's no doubt that Michigan football is losing some big-time players to the NFL such as J.J. McCarthy, Blake Corum, Roman Wilson, the entire stating offensive line, Kris Jenkins, Mike Sainristil, Michael Barrett and the list goes on.
However, the cupboard isn't as bare as it seems. The starting offensive line could be really good as long as everyone on the roster now returns and don't be surprised to see Giovanni El-Hadi and Greg Crippen earn All-Big Ten honors next season.
Player retention and avoiding the mass exodus that we saw happen at Alabama and Washington. That was part of the reason Michigan football was smart to hire Moore. And on Saturday, there were some positive signs on the player retention front.

Former five-star running back Donovan Edwards, the dude with a pair of 40-yard touchdown runs in the national title game, was in attendance for Moore's press conference on Saturday.
That was a positive sign. Edwards could have entered the NFL draft but wanted to return to have a chance to be RB1 and I don't see him taking that chance anywhere else.
Why would he? Kalel Mullings, another running back, was in attendance for Moore's speech at halftime of the Michigan basketball game on Saturday, and joining him were some of Michigan's elite players such as Will Johnson, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Makari Paige, and Colston Loveland.
That doesn't mean Michigan football won't lose players to the transfer portal. But after the hire of Moore, plus the response, you have to feel good about it as a Wolverines fan.
