Jim Harbaugh and staff out-coached Nick Saban

Anyone that knows anything about the game knows that Jim Harbaugh is one of the best football coaches there is, period. But in case anyone needed reminded, Harbaugh proved it again on Monday night, out-coaching Nick Saban in the Rose Bowl.

Offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore deserves plenty of credit. But Jim Harbaugh's fingerprints were all over this gameplan too. He empowers his staff and he just has so much belief in hs players which you could see with the fourth-and-two call. Some head coaches might have hesitated. Not Harbaugh.

A lot of people questioned Jim when he made Moore the offensive line coach and Co-OC. The same thing when he was made the offensive coordinator. Now, Michigan is going to be fighting off other programs who want Moore as their next head coach.

Harbaugh hired Jesse Minter and Mike Elston and Mike Hart. It all came together and on both sides of the ball, Michigan football came up with wrinkles that totally perplexed Alabama. Whether it was the pressure packages on defense or the motion on offense, Michigan won the chess match.
