It's hard to believe that the Michigan football season begins in less than three weeks. The waiting always takes forever, but all of the off-season drama has only made it drag on.

Since Michigan football last took the field, Jim Harbaugh and most of the coaching staff have departed along with the 13 NFL draft picks and some other key veterans.

But Sherrone Moore has taken over and done a stellar job so far. He's also 4-0 as acting Michigan football head coach including wins over Ohio State and Penn State.

We'll see what Moore can do as a first-year head coach but after nearly two weeks of fall camp, here's what we have learned about Michigan football team 145.

Alex Orji should start game one

So far, Alex Orji has been the best Michigan football quarterback. It was always in the Wolverines' best interest for him to win the job since he's a true dual threat.

Davis Warren has played well. He also played well during the spring. Jack Tuttle has been limited with injury. There have been positive rumblings about freshman quarterback Jadyn Davis, but I don't see him being ready to play right away.

Orji is throwing the ball better in camp, according to reports, and the work he did in the offseason seems to have really paid off. The running game with him at quarterback will be dynamic and if he's effective throwing the ball to, it makes the decision easy for Michigan football coaches.
