Make Minnesota one-dimensional

The Gophers have a more functional passing game with Max Brosmer who completed 22-of-37 passes last week for 209 yards. He also had two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Minnesota ran the ball 21 times for 79 yards last week, which is less than four yards per carry and you can see how important the run game is to Brosmer.

Minnesota wants the run the ball, play good defense, take the ball away, and create explosive plays. But explosive plays can typically come off play-action passes, which are tough to pull enough if you aren't running the ball.

Darius Taylor is a talented dude but had 10 carries for 34 yards against Iowa, which has a comparable defense to Michigan's. USC is a lot scarier though and if Michigan can shake Miller Moss, it can do the same to Brosmer, as long as the running game of the Gophers is held in check.
