Can the coaching staff unlock Donovan Edwards?

Last week, Michigan football finally shifted the workload to Kalel Mullings as RB1. Mullings responded with two touchdown runs and another 100-yard game.

Donovan Edwards didn't get as many carries last week. The former five-star had nine rushes for 34 yards. He also caught two passes, but his day would have been much better if Orji connected with him on the wheel route.

Edwards is a dangerous threat as a wide receiver and the lack of use as a pass catcher has been disappointing to say the least. If Edwards isn't at running back, he should be in the slot or split wide. Edwards is still one of the most dynamic players on this team.

I'd love to see Mullings and Edwards on the field more together. They were each on the field last week when Edwards was open on the wheel route and at the very least, Edwards can take some of the focus off of Mullings.

At any rate, Donovan needs more touches in space and hopefully, the coaches will find out some ways to do that on Saturday.
