5-star Michigan football target will make 'extremely tough' decision soon
We are now into the month of August, which is setting up to be a huge month for Michigan football recruiting.
Andrew Marsh, a top-100 wideout in the 2025 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, has talked about announcing a decision this month. He just visited for the Michigan football BBQ and felt prioritized.
There have been numerous expert projections for Marsh to land with Michigan, but another Michigan football target, Andrew Babalola, is also closing in on a commitment. A number of recruiting experts have stated that Michigan is in the lead or close, along with Stanford.
5-star recruit set to decide soon
Auburn, Missouri, and Oklahoma are also in the mix for the top-ranked recruit in the state of Kansas for the 2025 class. Sherrone Moore, the Michigan football head coach is also from Kansas. Babalola didn't make it for the BBQ though but did take an official visit in late June.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder ranked 27th overall in the 247 Sports compsoite rankings for the 2025 class said that the decision would be "extremely tough."
“It’s going to be extremely tough,” Babalola told On3. “They’ve all been recruiting me for a long time. They all have something great and special to offer. It’s going to be tough at the end of the day, but when I do end up making my decision, I’ll definitely be happy with it.”
Babalola called Stanford "the total package" but here's what he said about Michigan football, according to Simmons:
“With Michigan, I have great relationships there. Coach Sherrone Moore offered me and started my recruitment there. He is now the head coach and coach Grant Newsome is recruiting me as well. It’s been great with them.”
Babalola said he wants to be committed before his senior season, which is coming up soon, so we'll see if the Wolverines can close with Babalola that would be their first five-star commitment since 2022 (Will Johnson).
