DaShawn Jones, CB, Wake Forest

Michigan football's biggest need is probably at cornerback like we said and one might not be enough. Adding one starting-caliber player would really help. Two would be even better. That would also allow Ja'Den McBurrows to play some nickel along with Zeke Berry.

The Wolverines have reportedly made contact with Jones, who started last season for Wake Forest and was a spot starter/reserve as a redshirt freshman in 2022. Some other big-name programs are in the mix for the 6-foot, 181-pound cornerback.

Last season, he finished with 37 tackles and 27 of them were solo tackles. He also had 1.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and three interceptions. Jones is a willing tackler which would make him a fit for Michigan, plus adding a double-digit starter from a Power-4 conference is exactly what Michigan football needs.

This would be an ideal fit and if the Wolverines could add a couple of cornerbacks, I don't think they would hesitate to do so.
