Michigan football hits a trick play for a score or to set one up

Ever since the 2021 season, Michigan football has found a way to hit on a trick play in just about every big game. There was the flea-flicker and end-around score by AJ Henning against Ohio State in 2021, the HB pass in the 2021 Big Ten title game, the half-back pass in 'The Game' in 2022, the HB half-back pass against Ohio State in 2023, the double pass in the Rose Bowl -- you get the point.

When Michigan hits on one of those, they tend to win the game. They tried and failed on a trick play against TCU in the semifinals and whether or not they connect on one, I'd be stunned if they didn't reach into the bag of tricks.

The offense was super vanilla in Week 1. I'm sure that was by design. But now, Sherrone Moore and his staff need to call a great game and find the right time to dial a trick play. If they can do that and execute it, as I believe they will, to set up a touchdown or score one, it could go a long way in deciding what should be a close game.
