Davis Warren throws mutiple touchdowns for the first time

It's easy to look at the offensive struggles and blame the quarterback. That's why the position can be so difficult because even if things aren't your fault, you still get most of the blame.

Through two weeks though, Davis Warren has been the least of Michigan's problems on offense. I'm not saying he's been spectacular. Warren has completed 63 percent of his passes for 322 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions.

But, last week, there was no running game. Texas was also dropping 7-8 guys on every down but still getting pressure. So Warren was facing 7-8 defenders covering 3-4 wideouts and still getting pressure.

It wasn't a good situation, especially since Michigan football wasn't able to run. It also didn't help that Colston Loveland, Michigan's best offensive player, had the worst game of his career. He ran the wrong route leading to an interception and fumbled on what should have been a big play.

All that being said, give Warren a running game and the ability to play-action pass, and my guess is that he'll look a lot better. Loveland will catch a touchdown and maybe Edwards will get another, but Warren tosses two on Saturday in a clean game overall.
