The Texas game proved to be a wake-up call for Michigan football fans. Many of us, myself included, thought way too much of this team.

Jim Harbaugh said one thing you never want to do is "fall in love with your own stuff." I'm afraid the Michigan football staff has done that.

Just because something worked the past couple of seasons, doesn't mean it will continue to. Michigan doesn't have the same offensive line, running back, wide receivers, or quarterback it has the past two seasons.

There need to be adjustments and so far, we haven't seen any. Michigan is trying to essentially run the same offense as last season with a fraction of the talent. It's been tough to watch. You have to hope the Wolverines get it figured out Saturday.

Michigan football is a 23.5-point favorite this weekend against 2-0 Arkansas State and here are five bold predictions plus a score.

Kalel Mullings will run for 100 yards

This is probably wishful thinking based on what we saw last week, but Mullings is the best between the tackles running back Michigan football has right now.

Mullings has 117 yards on 21 carries (5.6 per attempt) so far this season. Fresno State was respectable against the run. Texas was stout, but Arkansas State is neither of those things.

The Red Wolves have played Central Arkansas and Tulsa. Give Arkansas State credit for winning both games, but they are allowing 6.2 yards per rushing attempt and if Michigan doesn't pound the rock against this team and feed Mullings, it might never happen.
