Darian DeVries

The Drake head coach is one I'd like to see get more traction. He's spent six seasons at Drake and has won at least 20 games in each season. In five of his six seasons as head coach, the Bulldogs have won 24 games or more five different times.

In addition to that, DeVries is part of the Dana Altman coaching tree. He's a technician and he's taken the Bulldogs to the NCAA tournament three times. DeVries has also won the Missouri Valley Coach of the Year in addition to winning the regular-season title and conference tournaments twice.

DeVries is known as a great tactician which isn't a surprise with all the time he spent at Creighton under Altman and Doug McDermott. His son Tucker DeVries, is the Bulldogs leading scorer at over 21 points per game and would likely come with his dad.

The one concern I have is with the defensive numbers. Drake has had just one top-50 defense according to Kenpom. But DeVries feels like he should get more traction/attention.
