The defensive line is loaded and developing depth

The defensive line should be outstanding for Michigan football once again this season. Heck, I'd put the Wolverines projected front four of Kenneth Grant, Mason Graham, Derrick Moore, and Josaiah Stewart up against any front in the country.

Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant are both expected to be first-round picks. Moore took a big step forward last season and is going to be an All-Big Ten performer this season. Moore and Stewart each have tons of NFL potential too.

However, one thing that made Michigan football so dominant was the defensive line depth. Kris Jenkins is gone, and so are guys like Jaylen Harrell and Braiden McGregor. There are some pieces to replace but the early returns this spring have been really good.

Rayshaun Benny is another defensive tackle who will shine this season and should see even more snaps than last year. But two others -- Enow Etta and TJ Guy -- have emerged this spring.

Guy is a 6-foot-4, 250-pound pass rusher who had one sack, 10 tackles, and one tackle for loss last season. Etta played just four games last season but is 6-foot-5, 295 pounds. Etta is playing defensive tackle too, but is generating buzz, and if those guys can be standouts, U-M's defensive line will be nasty.
