3. Give Tommy Doman a rest on the sidelines

The unsung hero of the USC win was Doman. He was named the special teams player of the week by the Big Ten. He didn't let the dangerous Zachariah Branch break one. In total he punted it eight times with half of them landing in the red zone and only one was a touchback. His longest punt traveled 58 yards, with an average of 49 yards per kick.

That means the Michigan football offense will have to sustain long drives and that is what they are built for. Can they break the record set last season of running it 32 straight times at Penn State? With the way this offense is going, it very well could do that. Short screen passes are almost just as good as running it and that's a staple of Alex Orji and the offense.

In the other part of the kicking game Dominic Zvada had an extra point blocked. USC would have had a chance to tie it on the final drive, but couldn't convert on fourth down.

That's something to clean up because Zvada has been as close to perfect as you can get so far this season. He's arguably been the best transfer from the portal for the Wolverines.
