TJ Guy, EDGE

Remember when Michigan football used to recruit a bunch of players from Massachusetts? TJ Guy was one of those guys and in 2024, it seems like he's ready to make an impact.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound edge, who is a senior, played in 11 games last season. He notched a sack against Michigan State and had 10 tackles.

Michigan has a deep EDGE room last season. Jaylen Harrell and Braiden McGregor are each in the NFL. Stewart and Moore will start this season but you need 3-4 pass rushers from the EDGE.

One of those guys should be Guy, who I expect to be first off the bench. We have heard solid things about Guy all spring and even dating back to the spring in 2022. He's gradually improved since joining Michigan football and has finally earned a shot at a bigger role.

Once again, the starting defense has elite talent. But Michigan football was so good last season due to its incredible depth. That's why adding some players from the transfer portal and developing talent on the two-deep is essential.

Development has been the key to Michigan's success the past three seasons and if they are going to win another Big Ten title, each of these defenders needs to have a breakout season.
