3 must-land recruits in the 2025 class for Michigan football

In this article, I examine three areas where the Michigan football team needs to make a splash in their 2025 recruiting class, and look at where the Wolverines currently stand in those areas.

A Top Linebacker

Of all three must lands, I think this one has the most potential. Brian Jean-Mary is an ace recruiter and is known to swing for the fences. He's been in contact with most of the top linebackers in the country, and it seems likely that Michigan football will be in a position to land at least one of them -- especially considering their defensive success.

Some names to look out for include top 100 recruit TJ Alford - who is committing at the end of March yet still wants to visit Michigan football -- top 100 recruit Matai Togoa'i, and four-star Kamar Archie. That is not an extensive list at all, but it is a decent current list of linebackers Michigan has been aggressively pursuing.

Right off the bat, I like where Michigan stands with Archie, and that kid looks like a tank. He would be a great win for the Wolverines. I'm confident that, judging off of the recruiting-focused hires that Sherrone Moore made and Warde Manuel signed off on, Michigan will improve its NIL. That should allow for the Wolverines to compete for the best prospects in the land.

High end linebacker talent is a big need for the Wolverines considering their depth is very depleted. They need star power at the position, and the 2025 class is the perfect class to fill the need. The Wolverines need at least one high end linebacker, but obviously the more the merrier.

I think that the 2025 class will be very telling for Michigan. There is lots of hype about this staff and program. If they can capitalize on it and land an elite recruiting class, that hype will only continue to build. Keep an eye out for more news. Go Blue!
