2. The other cornerback starter not named Will Johnson

Between Ja'Den McBurrows, Jyaire Hill, Ricky Johnson and Aamir Hall, LaMar Morgan has plenty of options to choose from for one of these guys to be the next Josh Wallace. McBurrows has played the most in a maize and blue uniform, but could also be considered to replace Mikey Sainristil at the nickel position.

Whomever it is will get a heavy workload. Comparing them to Wallace, who earned honorable mention and didn't let other offenses pick on him on a weekly basis, Wallace certainly held his own for being an FCS transfer. For the aforementioned combatants, there is no Sainristil or Rod Moore to lean on. DJ Waller would have been the presumed starter. Now we'll get to see how Morgan can coach after learning that he is trending into a top-notch recruiter.

Hall's All-American status at Albany may make him the favorite in his own right. If you compare Hall to Wallace, Hall had a more impressive statistical year as a senior. Having the depth that Michigan football has in the secondary means they should be able to find the solution to who starts opposite of Johnson sooner rather than later.
