3 Michigan Football players who could have a long pro career

With so many draftees in the 2024 NFL draft it's impossible to pick out just a handful that might have extended careers moving onward.

3. Roman Wilson

Wilson can be a slot connoisseur in the pros. He has the pedigree to play on the outside too. The Jim Harbaugh stamp of approval doesn't hurt his stock either. Wilson may just end up in Los Angeles with him after the Chargers dumped Mike Williams and traded Keenan Allen to Chicago. He's an instant starter wherever he lands.

Shifting from number 14 to number one in Ann Arbor can be a risky thing to do, but Wilson didn't let that hype bother him. He exceeded expectations with 12 touchdowns and leaves a championship legacy behind him. The catch he had at Nebraska sums up how relentless he played wearing the maize and blue. It will be remembered like Woodson's interception in 1997.

Roman's numbers were never off the charts like Marvin Harrison Jr.'s, nor does he have a hall of fame dad to learn from. He's had to work for this moment harder than most and it will pay off for him again, most likely on night two of the draft. His 4.39 speed won't hurt his cause one bit.

There's a common theme with all three of these guys and the abundance of Michigan football players who will get drafted this weekend, and that's hard work and determination. It all starts at the top with coach Harbaugh and what he instilled in these guys for the school he cherishes. If you're a Wolverine diehard then enjoy this moment in time, because it doesn't last forever and we don't know when it will happen again.
