With so many draftees in the 2024 NFL draft it's impossible to pick out just a handful that might have extended careers moving onward.

With the draft approaching and only hours away it's beyond uncertain projecting how long a prospect will last in the NFL at any time. They will go through injuries, mental health issues, the aging process, money issues, trade demands and so much more. While there is no timetable for how short their careers will be and it depends on where they land, here are three names who could have lengthy stays at the sport's highest level after leaving Michigan football in history-making fashion.

1. Zak Zinter

Zinter posted a video on Sunday providing an update on how he is moving after the injury. He looks spry for a :30 second video. Zinter is worthy of being the first guard off the board on day two, but that may not be the case because of those injury concerns from decision makers. To his credit Zinter has been coached by the best offensive line coach who would probably join him in the NFL if he wasn't the head man in charge now.

A lot of teams can always use a guy like Zinter who can start right away if he is ready to be cleared. Being a four-year starter doesn't hurt his resume either. Lance Zierlein of nfl.com compares him to former Wolverine Graham Glasgow who has molded out a quality career for himself after departing Ann Arbor. Comparing him to someone from the last team to win a national title with Michigan football, Zak could have a career like Steve Hutchinson ahead of him.
