Play a clean game

Michigan football didn't play mistake-free against Alabama and it nearly cost the Wolverines a shot at the national championship. Two muffed punts, two missed kicks, dropped passes and missed tackles are al things Michigan needs to avoid on Monday night.

The special teams have to be cleaned up. Michigan has been stellar all season on special teams, so it was shocking to see two muffed punts, a missed PAT, and also a missed field goal. J.J. McCarthy was nearly intercepted on the first play of the game.

You could tell there were some jitters. Plus, none of the teams had played for a month. There won't be that drougt before this game, so both teams should be sharper.

I don't expect the same special teams issues for Michigan and as long as the Wolverines don't give away points, they should win on Monday night. Michigan feels like the better team, but they were better than Alabama and were a play away from losing that game.
