Wide Receiver: Gallon, Drew Dileo, Amara Darboh vs Tyler Morris, Semaj Morgan, Karmello English.

Jeremy Gallon will always be one of my favorite Michigan football players of all time. He didn't have top-end speed but he was an elite route runner and was able to high-point balls out of mid-air at a super high level, especially for a player of smaller stature. He also has the most absurd stat line in the history of Michigan football when he hauled in 14 catches for 369 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Drew Dileo was a reliable possession receiver and Amara Darboh was just scratching the surface of his potential as a sophomore. Tyler Morris and Semaj Morgan have some experience coming into the season but they will be going from role players to both having a chance to be the number one option.

Karmello English is completely unproven at the collegiate level but will be expected to be a contributor. This group has tons of speed but they will need to prove they are capable of producing at a consistent level.

Tight end: Devin Funchess vs Colston Loveland

This is the toughest matchup there is of any position. Both guys are absolute studs and played key roles in the offense. Devin Funchess was an athletic freak who was an impact player from day one. He combined size and speed to be a dominant force on offense. During his sophomore year, he tallied 49 catches for 748 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Colston Loveland came on strong during the second half of his freshman season. He developed into a key player for the Wolverines by the end of the 2022 season. In his sophomore year, Loveland was an impact player from day one. He became one of the best tight ends in the nation because of his magnet hands, top end speed and blocking skills in the run game. He tallied 45 catches for 649 yards and 4 touchdowns. Loveland is only going to continue to get better and I don't think he has even come close to reaching his full potential.
