After a disappointing loss to Oklahoma on Saturday, Michigan football will get a chance to bounce back against Central Michigan on Saturday.
The 23rd-ranked Wolverines lost to the Sooners by double-digits. It could have been worse, but head coach Sherrone Moore said that the defense "played well enough to win."
The defense allowed over 400 yards. Oklahoma converted two third-and-long conversions on the opening drive, setting the tone for the night. Michigan's offense didn't didn't play well enough to win, outside of some explosive plays.
Michigan didn't really have any sustained offense all night. Part of it was Oklahoma's defense. Another issue was the conservative nature of the Michigan football offense.
Hopefully, that doesn't happen again. Looking ahead to Saturday's game with Biff Poggi acting as the interim head coach, here's what you need to know about Central Michigan.

Michigan vs. Central Michigan injury report
Sherrone Moore said this week that Giovanni El-Hadi was day-to-day. He exited the game against Oklahoma, but it sounds like he could still play. Andrew Sprague was also mentioned. He sounds like a go. The best news is that Moore said Rod Moore will likely play this weekend.
Rod Moore's return would be great for a struggling secondary.

Michigan vs. Central Michigan prediction against the spread
So far this season, Michigan is 0-2 against the spread. The Wolverines didn't score enough to cover against New Mexico or Oklahoma.
The Wolverines will need a four-touchdown spread to cover. Central Michigan, which is led by first-year head coach Matt Drinkall, is allowing 324 passing yards per game and three touchdown passes per game. The Chippewas (1-1) only have two sacks so far this season and six tackles for loss.
Their run defense is allowing just 99 yards per game and four yards per attempt. Michigan should feast on an inferior opponent. Offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey should open it up this week, and as long as that happens, Michigan should cover the spread.
Michigan's defense should rebound against an offense scoring just 17.5 points per game. Michigan wins, 38-3.
