On Friday, the day before the Ohio State game, and all week really, there was some buzz that there would be a surprise return from injury for Michigan football against the Buckeyes.
That picked up steam on Friday. Some insiders even gave us hope that it was possible. However, that hope ended on Saturday morning as Rod Moore and Justice Haynes, the two players Michigan fans might be coming back from injury, were each ruled out.

What's even worse is that starting linebacker, and Michigan football captain Ernest Hausmann also won't be on the field. It's not clear if he's injured or not playing for another reason. He missed the game last week against Maryland and there wasn't an explanation.
Moore hasn't played since the USC game. Haynes has been out since the Michigan State game. Sherrone Moore said he could maybe return for the postseason, depending on what happens.
Some good news for Michigan football
Hogan Hansen is also out again. The former four-star tight end has a lot of promise but hasn't been able to stay healthy. On the positive side of things, Max Bredeson is questionable, along with Evan Link.
On the Ohio State side, jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate are each going to play. That was expected based on Ryan Day's comments from earlier this week. The other good news for Michigan football is that Jordan Marshall is playing.
The star running back from Ohio was held out last week after an injury against Northwestern. In his absence, Bryson Kuzdal rushed for over 100 yards and scored three touchdowns. He will be the No. 2 with Haynes out. Mason Curtis will continue to start for Moore, while Cole Sullivan and Jimmy Rolder will play at linebacker.
