Michigan football hasn't had great luck on the injury front in recent weeks, which isn't ideal heading into the most important game of the season.
All hands will need to be on deck for the Wolverines on Saturday for "The Game", even though that won't be the case for Michigan. Justice Haynes, who was on his way to an All-American season at running back, hasn't played since Michigan State. Rod Moore hasn't played since the USC game.
We also don't know about the status for Ernest Hausmann, the captain linebacker for Michigan football, but the indications aren't great about him playing.
A star player could be returning for Michigan football vs. Ohio State
However, Chris Balas of The Wolverine shared an interesting report about Michigan football possibly having a star player return from injury. You'll need to subscribe to read the whole update.
Yet, there have been rumors about a surprise return from injury all week. It's usually the kind of thing you ignore but now that legitimate reporters have talked about it, maybe there is a chance. Maybe it's not just smoke.
We don't know who the player is, but it's likely Justice Haynes, Rod Moore, or maybe Max Bredeson. Bredeson already said he was going to try and go this week, so that wouldn't be a huge surprise.
Moore and Haynes have been out for a while, and there was a hint they would be back after rumors started on social media. They might end up being nothing more than rumors, but if Moore or Haynes is back in the lineup, that would be a huge boost, especially Moore.
This secondary could use his leadership and playmaking for one week.
