In the 2025 season, junior Mitch Voit has been a cornerstone of the Michigan Wolverines baseball team, being able to help his team on both the offensive and defensive fronts. His exceptional performance earned him the Big Ten Player of the Week honor on March 17, following a remarkable week where he slashed. 667/.739/1.222 over five games, including a standout four-hit game against Michigan State.
Voit's contributions have been pivotal in several key victories. On February 14, he scored the winning run in a walk-off victory against No. 2 Virginia. He continued his offensive surge with a two-run homer against No. 22 TCU on February 21. In a series against USC in mid-March, Voit tallied multiple hits and RBIs, including a three-hit, four-RBI performance on March 16.

So far for the 2025 season, the Wisconsin native is batting .361 with 48 hits, seven of them being home runs. Voit’s OPS of 1.126 rates him as a high-profile hitter, and with more walks (30) than strikeouts (25), his patience at the plate is the reason that he’s able to get such high-quality looks.
Beyond his batting achievements, Voit's defensive skills have been instrumental. With a fielding percentage of .985, 71 putouts and 125 assists, he continues to prove himself as a pillar of defensive stability for the rest of the team.

Recognized for his all-around talents, Voit was named a Baseball America Preseason All-American and a Perfect Game Preseason All-Conference selection. His consistent performance and leadership continue to be assets as the Wolverines continue their successful season.
