Michigan football has been focused on the transfer portal and rightfully so. The Michigan Wolverines even added their veteran quarterback on Monday with the commitment of Mikey Keene.

Keene led the Mountain West in passing yards last season and is familiar with new Michigan football offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, who coached Keene in 2022 when both were at UCF.

Keene has thrown for over 8,000 yards and 68 touchdowns in his career so Michigan football could have done much worse. If Bryce Underwood hadn't joined the team, the Wolverines would been able to land Billy Edwards, yet Underwood made the pursuit of a transfer portal quarterback a little tricky, but the Wolverines still threaded the needed just fine.

Just don't be shocked to see Bryce Underwood as the starting quarterback for Michigan football at some point next season.

Michigan Wolverines battling Teas Tech for Ty Haywood

Michigan football isn't quite finished with the 2025 recruiting class, as the Wolverines hope to add five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood to the mix. The Alabama commitment isn't going to sign with Alabama. According to Steve Wiltfong of On3.com, the Wolverines are "battling" Texas Tech for his commitment along with Florida State.

Wiltfong reports that Michigan football and Texas Tech should each get visits in January, once the dead period is over. Florida State might get one too. The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder is ranked 18th overall in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Landing his commitment would give Michigan football three five-star commitments in the 2025 class according to the composite rankings.

Michigan Wolverines ranked 23rd in AP women's basketball poll

Greta Kampschroeder went off in the win over Akron making 5-of-9 from 3-point range and 9-of-16 overall from the field in a 23-point effort. She also grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists. Jordan Hobbs scored 13 for Michigan women's basketball, while Olivia Olson had 11.

Next up the Wolverines is a top-25 showdown against No. 4 USC on Sunday in LA. The Trojans, led by Juju Watkins are fresh off a win over UConn.
