It's easy to see the impact of running back Justice Haynes on the Michigan football offense. It was apparent against Michigan State, as he rushed for over 100 yards and two touchdowns.
It was also apparent when he missed games, like he did against USC. That was the only game that Haynes has played for Michigan football and not rushed for 100 yards.
The former five-star running back is still ranked among the top 5 nationally in rushing yards (857), and currently leads the Big Ten. Yet, when Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore was asked about Haynes playing this week on his weekly radio show, he said: "We'll see."
There have been rumors of Haynes being in a walking boot. That hasn't been confirmed but my guess is that Jordan Marshall will be RB1 this week. Moore also provided an update on the status of Rod Moore.
“He’s doing well,” Moore said. “Just mentally, he’s a kid, right? So, you try to help him along and do things. We’ll see what he does this week. I think he’ll get back to a little more activity this week, and he did last week. But I’m not in his body, and I’m not going to force him to do anything, so we’re going to make sure he feels right before he gets back in there.”
Sherrone Moore, Michigan football won't appear NCAA ruling, Connor Stalions will
Chris Balas of The Wolverine reported on Friday that Michigan wouldn't pursue its appeal against the NCAA in the Connor Stalions case. Pete Thamel of ESPN confirmed that on Monday. He noted that Michigan football and head coach Sherrone Moore have dropped their appeals.

“After careful consideration of the prolonged impact of an appeal on Michigan and our student athletes, we have withdrawn our appeal of the NCAA’s infractions decision and penalties," The school wrote in a statement to Thamel.
Michigan intended to appeal. However, the feeling, it seems, is that it would have just been a greater waste of resources. Trevor McCue of the Maize and Blue review reported that resources have been allocated to pay the hefty fine, but it won't hinder the athletic department moving forward.
Connor Stalions will move forward with his appeal, fighting the good fight.
Michigan Wolverines ranked No. 2 in hockey
After splitting a two-game series with Western Michigan over the weekend, the Michigan hockey team has moved up to No. 2 in the latest top 25 poll, with only Michigan State ahead of the Wolverines at this point.
