It was a busy weekend for the Michigan Wolverines, even dating back to last Thursday with the 2025 NFL draft.

Michigan football had seven players selected. The Wolverines were also the only team to have multiple players selected in the top 10.

Those seven draft picks weren't the only Michigan Wolverines to find homes in the NFL though. Donovan Edwards signed with the Jets as a rookie free agent. Josh Priebe landed with the New York Giants. We have a rundown of all the free-agent signings here.

Good vibes from Yaxel Lendeborg

It was reported last week that No. 1 transfer portal prospect and Michigan basketball commitment Yaxel Lendeborg would visit the Wolverines over the weekend. By all accounts, that visit went really well.

Lendeborg posted a video on X, recapping the visit and captioned it, "Go Blue Baby." There were also pictures posted to social media with Dusty May and the 6-foot-9 forward, who is also exploring the NBA draft, changed his profile picture to one of The Wolverine, the mythical X-Men character.

That doesn't mean anything, though. May surely sold him on what the Michigan Wolverines were able to do with Danny Wolf, improving him from a second-round pick to a lottery pick. Lendeborg is a borderline first-round pick right now.

We'll know more in the next few weeks, but unless that's he's guaranteed to be a top-40 pick, he could come to Michigan, which should only improve his draft stock, while making a massive NIL deal with U-M.

Michigan baseball sweeps Michigan State

The Michigan Wolverines needed a good weekend on the baseball diamond, entering the weekend under .500 in Big Ten play.

Well, a sweep of Michigan State was just what the doctor ordered. The Wolverines completed that on Sunday with a 6-5 win over the Spartans. Michigan scored six runs in the first inning and then held on for the win. Benjamin Casillas had four hits in the win, plus an RBI and a run scored. Matt Spear also delivered with two hits and two RBI.

Tate Carey had seven strikeouts in five innings to earn the win. Will Rogers got the save after pitching the final three innings to wrap up the win. Michigan is now 27-17 overall. The Wolverines are 11-10 in the Big Ten with nine games to go.

Michigan opened the series with an 8-2 win on Friday. Kurt Barr allowed just one run on six hits in six innings of work to get the win. Greg Pace Jr. had a home run and four RBI. Pace was clutch again on Saturday, going 4-for-4 with four runs, another home run and a double to pace the Wolverines in a 9-2 win. Mitch Voit also had a home run and a triple. David Lally Jr. tallied 6.2 innings of one-run baseball to get the win.

The Wolverines lost to seventh-ranked UCLA in softball 5-3 on Saturday, as well as 4-3 in extra innings on Sunday. Game three is Monday.
