We have said it before and will say it again, but Michigan football is laying the groundwork for an elite 2026 recruiting class.
The Wolverines have just three commitments right now, but that could change soon. Michigan football is hosting over 50 visitors in the 2026 class during the spring. Some of them already have official visits scheduled to come back in the summer.
The Michigan Wolverines are even doing impressive work in the 2027 class, getting Elijah Haven, the top-ranked quarterback, to take a visit this spring. Michigan has emerged as an early favorite with the top 2027 quarterback. They also continue to make progress in 2026.
On that front, Deuce Geralds, a 6-foot-2, 265-pound defensive lineman from Georgia, will also visit the Michigan football program this spring according to Ethan McDowell of The Wolverine.
Geralds is ranked 63rd overall in the 2026 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Ohio State has the advantage according to the On3 recruiting prediction machine (83 percent chance) but Ole Miss is another team to know. Geralds is an Ole Miss legacy.
Michigan football coaches visited him back in January and now that he'll be on campus for two days at the end of March, the Michigan Wolverines might be able to make some headway. Getting him back for an official visit would be huge.
